Webinar KPBA #23: From Stories to Animation gave new insights and information that even in 2003 already KPBA and INABBY has brought up the matters that strong stories with good illustrations can be modified into many other medias to make the books (stories) alive. Murti Bunanta showed an old newspaper that quoted her opinions and share how four of her books, entitled Princess Kemang, Suwidak Loro, The Mouse Deer and the Turtle and Why Schrimps are Crooked were made animation as Ollybolly Online Picturebook.
Another speaker were Dr. Yulianeta who lead a team to make animation: From Manuscripts to Animation; Daud Nugraha , a storyboard artist who creates Aniwayang; Dwi Julyanti show how she made puppets which the ideas taken from Murti’s book: Why Schrimps are Crooked. And the fifth speaker were Adi Fitrah who made puppets with its stage from used materials.
